Robert James Schaffer

Schaffer, Robert "Bob" age 85, of Elk River, formerly of Anoka, St. Paul, and Little Canada. Bob passed away 2/9/2024 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, MN. Survived by wife and fishing buddy, Joanne; 13 children; 4 stepdaughters; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. For many years, Bob loved spending time with Joanne at their camper in Longville, MN. He was a passionate fisherman. Joanne would often catch more fish than Bob, but he didn't mind. Making Joanne happy always made Bob even happier. Bob also enjoyed deer hunting with family. Family would like to thank all the staff at Guardian Angels Care Center for their wonderful care the past 4 1/2 months. Thank you, Triniti Hospice, for your commitment and compassion shown to Bob. You made his final journey peaceful. Funeral Service to be held Tuesday, February 20th, at the Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel at 11AM, with visitation one hour prior.
