Remembering Robert “Bob” Schneider
Robert Schneider passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 14, 1932, in Monona, Iowa, to Dan and Amelia Schneider, Bob lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.
A proud Korean War Veteran, Bob served in the United States Army and carried the values of dedication, integrity, and kindness throughout his life.
He worked in Commercial Fishing, Construction, Plumbing, and Aircraft manufacturing, always providing for his family with pride. Bob was sweet, kind and generous. He loved spending time with friends and neighbors at the local bar and riding his ATV on the trails behind his home with his loyal dog, Snowball.
He cherished his son, Bob Ranney and his two daughters, Denise Schneider Caine and Robin Ranney Hotmer, and his many Grand and Great-Grand children.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mercedes Schneider; his sons, Mike Feist and Frank Blanco; his brothers, Fred, Ken and Jimmy; and his sisters, Mary and Sally. Bob’s warmth, laughter, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him.
He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, and his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family.
