He was the second of two sons. Always placing value on education, Bob graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1969, where he played soccer and lacrosse. Shortly afterward, Bob was called to serve as a Lieutenant in the Vietnam War, and he was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1972. He enjoyed athletic pursuits and received his black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1998. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Schoepflin; daughter, Jessica Reichart; brother, Charles Schoepflin; three grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, from 5 to 8 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, in Austell, Georgia.
