Robert Lewis Seaton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and esteemed member of the steel industry, passed away on August 6, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 4, 1949, in Terrell, Texas, Robert's life was characterized by resilience, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family. His laughter echoed through the hearts of those who knew him, and his generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

He served in the U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

A dedicated welder, Robert spent countless hours crafting the very backbone of structures across the nation. His commitment to his trade was matched only by his devotion to his family, which he cherished above all else. Robert's proudest accomplishments included a marriage that spanned 55 years to his cherished wife, Rosie Seaton, and creating a loving family that flourished under his guidance. Together with Rosie, he raised six children, nurturing them with the same generosity he was known for, instilling in them values of hard work and fidelity.

Beyond the welding shop, Robert was a man of many interests. He found solace in the rugged landscapes of westerns, often quoting lines that resonated with his own tales of resilience. An aficionado of the Dallas Cowboys, he reveled in the camaraderie of friends and family during game days, his competitive spirit lighting up the room. His evenings were often spent detailing his prized truck or enjoying the company of his loyal dog, Rusty, whose companionship was a source of joy.

Robert’s personality shone through in every interaction; he was known for his humor and ability to bring levity to even the darkest of moments. A tough-as-boots character, he faced life's challenges with a fierce resilience that inspired those around him. Robert was not just a provider; he was a loving husband and a source of comfort, embodying the spirit of an undeniable protector.

As we gather to remember Robert, we invite family and friends to join in honoring his remarkable life. The viewing will take place on August 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, followed by a wake service at 5:30-6:30 PM. The funeral will be held on August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, culminating in a burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Robert Lewis Seaton is survived by his devoted wife, Rosie, six children, and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and generosity. Though his physical presence is now absent, the impact he made in the lives of many will endure, echoing through cherished memories and stories shared for generations to come.
