Robert D. Selfridge

Robert D Selfridge passed away peacefully in Zephyrhills, Florida on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was born in Jamestown, New York on November 17, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents Reuben and Ora Selfridge, Val and June Pontti, a sister Carol Waters and a brother John Pontti.
Bob was raised in Little Vally, New York and Clymer New York. After graduation from Clymer Central School, he joined the Navy in 1951. He was air traffic controller for 33 years and filled his spare time with carpenter work. He enjoyed fishing in Canada and spending time with his family.
He is survived by is wife Carol (Oehlbeck) Selfridge, his daughters Heidi (Rocky) Merrihew, Gretchen (Steve) Kalal, Kristine (Tom) Bluhm and a son Keith (Shelly) Cady. Bob loved his Grandchildren Brooke, Bart, Zach, Mackenzie, Kate, Allison and his great grandchildren Andrew, Leah, and Cara, who all fondly called him Grandpa Foppy.
Bob will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A Celebration of life will be held at a future date yet to be determined to celebrate and honor Bob's incredible life.
