Winchester - Robert D. Sellars, 88, of Winchester passed away early Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, in Winchester. He was born April 14, 1937, in Winchester, the son of the late Ralph D. and Julia E. Steelman Sellars. He married the former Carol Lashmett on June 30, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in Winchester. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Winchester High School and was one of the first UPS men in west central Illinois, serving the area in that capacity until he began farming. He farmed with his sons until his retirement. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church, a volunteer with the Winchester EMS, and was an avid bowler, bowling in many area and statewide tournaments. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife Carol at home, their children Callie (Mark) Reichert, Robert T (Julie) Sellars and Andrew J. (Jennifer) Sellars all of Winchester. 7 grandchildren, and Brandon (Tracy) Thomas of Jacksonville, Alexandria Thomas of Springfield Sarah Sellars (husband Vander Nunes) of Brookings, SD, Rachel Sellars (fiancée Bradley Graybil) of Carmel, IN, Noah Sellars of Omaha, NE, Lauren Sellars of St. Louis, MO, Anna Sellars of Champaign, IL, His sister, Linda MacGlasson of Springfield, also survives. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Jeannie Mueller. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday October 17, 2025, at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in the Winchester City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday where the family will meet with friends from 4 until 7 pm.
