Robert "Bob" Seltmann

Robert "Bob" Seltmann, 62, of St. Joseph passed away at his home in St. Joseph on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel; 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the chapel; officiated by Rev. Jack Whitehead; with cremation to follow at Southwest Michigan Cremation Service. Memorials may be given to Hospice at Home. Friends wishing to leave a condolence may do so at the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com. Bob was born on February 20, 1951 to Heinz & Edith (Gellert) Seltman in St. Joseph. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in 1969. He worked at Bosch from 1974 until he retired on June 1, 2004. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and sitting on his front porch talking to people as they walked by. Bob is survived by his daughter Sara M. Seltman of Dowagiac; three grandchildren Alexander Bryant, Andrew Bryant, and Austen Seltmann; step-daughter Allysia Egan (David Higbee) of Tuscan, Arizona; three sisters Karin Fields of St. Joseph; Christina (Frank) Nails of Stevensville, Nancy (Steve Miller) Seltman of St. Joseph; fiancé Charlene Woods of St. Joseph; her two children Julie (Nick) Carter and Janet (Brian) Tufnell; her three grandchildren Dominique Eddie, Savannah Eddie, and Kyle Prescott. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew David Fields.
