I was blessed to have you walk into my shop all those years ago. You are an amazing jeweler and great friend! You taught me so much and have forgotten more than I know. I'll never forget Christmas Eve when you shut our radio off because someone else didn't want to listen to Christmas music. Rest in piece Bob, until we meet again.

Robert "Bob/Papa" Shanks was a man of few words. He was funny and kind and a great role model for his grandsons. I'll always remember how he was towards me and what an awesome great grandfather he was to Henry and how funny he was. He will forever be missed. A great person taken too soon
