Robert L. Sheehan, 90, of Wakefield, formerly of Stoneham, died on Wednesday, March 18 at his home.
Born in Rowley on March 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Anthony and Stella (Boudreau) Sheehan.
Mr. Sheehan was a graduate of Medford Vocational High School. He was a retired carpenter supervisor for Polaroid in Waltham. Mr. Sheehan was a member of the Wakefield Elks.
He was the husband of the late Beverly A. (Hofman) Sheehan. Mr. Sheehan is survived by his three daughters: Carol A. Matarazzo and her husband Richard of Billerica, Elaine M. Finnigan and her husband Bradley of Reading and Lisa A. McQueeney and her husband David of Pembroke. His two brothers: William Sheehan of Tewksbury and James Sheehan of Billerica and his two sisters: Janet Desimone and her husband Frannie of Stoneham and Jean Sheehan and her husband Dan of Reading. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and his 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Sheehan was predeceased by his four sisters: Shirley Cavanaugh, Elaine Bottoms, Patricia Cerrato and Margarite Lucia and his brother Thomas Sheehan
His Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, March 23 at 12 noon. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 10am. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the VA Bedford Healthcare System, CDCE135, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.
