Robert Dale Shields

Although it's been decades since I've seen Bob I felt sad to learn of his death. My family lived up the block from the Shields family on Kentucky Ave. Bob was friends with my older brother Phil. Bob would come over and all the younger kids (me) would like to hang around Bob because he seemed to us a gentle giant. He was always so nice to us no matter how annoying we might be. I'm not surprised to learn he grew up to be a loving family man. This world could use a lot more good people like Bob Shields. RIP.
