Robert William "Bob" Shives

Grantsville, MD- Robert "Bob" William Shives, son of the late Ralph W. and Mary E. (Yommer) Shives, of Grantsville, Maryland, passed away on November 26, 2025, following a brief illness.
Robert, known to his family and friends as "Bob," was born on February 17, 1938, in Frostburg, Maryland. He is preceded in death by this first wife (Lula Belle) and parents. He is survived by his second wife, Colleen Shives and children: Kathy Shives (Michael Pritchard), Kevin Shives, and Kimberly Trostle (Daniel Himes, Jr.).
Following his service in the United States Marine Corp, Bob was employed by Kelly Springfield and then Harbison Walker, from which he retired after many years of service. Bob enjoyed spending time working outdoors on his family's farm, reading, and sharing a good meal with family and friends. He was a dedicated and beloved father and husband; he will be deeply missed by his family
A memorial service will be conducted at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor David Rockwood officiating.
