Robert A. Sikkema, 73, passed away on September 18, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Clinton, Iowa, Robert was a longtime resident of Fort Pierce. He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Navy. A master carpenter and skilled boat builder in Stuart, Robert’s craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting mark on all who knew him. He had a deep love for the ocean—whether surfing, sailing, or simply enjoying the water—and his generous spirit made him one of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane Sikkema of Fort Pierce, FL; stepson, Phillip Powell of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Sandy Sikkema of Sumter, SC; brothers, Darwin Sikkema of Alabama, Kenneth Sikkema of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Don Sikkema of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Camaron, Devon, and Makenna Powell; and one niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Virginia Sikkema, and sisters, Sharon, Barbara, and Kathy.
Inurnment will take place at White City Cemetery.
