Robert Lee Sims Jr., 70 of London, Arkansas left his earth on August 1, 2023, at his farm in Dover. He was born in Russellville to Robert Lee Sims Sr. and Ruby Gertrude Sims on April 27, 1953.
Robert loved his family and church family tremendously. You could always find him hauling grandkids around. He said he retired from his job at CenterPoint as a technician to take care of his grandkids. He was a babysitter, chauffeur, coach, contractor, electrician, delivery man, handyman, chief cook, cattle farmer, and anything else family and friends asked of him. If he didn't have it or know how to do it, he could figure it out.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a veteran of Vietnam, and Bayliss township constable. He enjoyed a good bargain and thrifting with family and friends, fishing, hunting, and camping. Robert had a very colorful vocabulary and was even given an award for it. He was well known for his handle bar mustache and being a hardcore Republican. His bumper sticker read "If I die, don't let me vote Democrat".
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; nieces and nephews and father in law, Gerald Lusk.
He leaves a loving family of wife of 49 years, Chyral Sims; three children, Angelia Paylor, Nikki (Rusty) Dorn, Roxie Sims all of Dover; five best buddies ever, Talia (Tali Ann) & Chance (Bubba) Paylor, Linton (Peanut), KK (Bug) and Riley (Poopy Head) Dorn who are all going to miss his cooking; sister, Nina Wallace; sister in law, Nila Sims; bestest mother in law ever, Eunice Lusk; nieces, nephews and a slew of friends.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trinity Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean located at 110 Montgomery Trace Morrilton, AR 72110.
A celebration of life will be 12 noon Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church located at 93 Augsburg Road London, Ar 72847. There will be a memorial party announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.

Dear Chyral and family you are in our daily prayers, and I still believe that there should be a plaque by the handicap restroom to thank Robert for making the room handicap accessible. With all our prayers to God that he will comfort you. Thom and Linda
