Robert Sheldon Sine

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, Robert Sheldon Sine peacefully passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, after graduating from Trenton High, Robert enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard. During his thirty-five years of service Robert rose through the ranks, starting as a Private First Class and retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. After his retirement from the Military Robert enjoyed a part time position with Success Transportation. Robert transported those with brain injuries to their scheduled appointments, he formed a special bond with one of his clients and often spoke of how much joy the job brought to him.

Robert could often be found tending to his garden, he loved the spring and summer months which he often could be found trimming bushes, trees and tending to the flowers. He especially loved sitting outside on the porch enjoying the sunny days. Robert always enjoyed spending time with his family attending Phillies games, spending time by the pool, working on home improvement projects. Holidays were always special to Robert and Florence, spending time with family hosting and entertaining at their home.

One of his greatest pleasures was traveling with his wife Florence. They would take road trips exploring the United States. They enjoyed the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Outer Banks and vacationing with family in Wildwood for two weeks each summer. Each March Robert and Florence vacationed in one of their favorite places, Siesta Key, Florida. They loved sitting on the beach in the sun and enjoying the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

Predeceased by his parents, Sheldon and Phyllis Sine; his beloved wife, Florence (Edinger) Sine; and his brother, Kevin Sine. Robert is survived by his two beloved sons, Keith (Ann) Sine of Holland, PA, and Scott Sine of Newtown, PA; his pride and joy grandson, Kyle Sine of Collegeville, PA; his siblings, Brad Sine (partner Lisa), Dennis Sine (partner Sue), and Katherine Whitaker (partner Ed); his sister-in-law, Monica Sine; his brother-in-law, Floyd (Caroline) Edinger; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. The family would like to send a special message of gratitude to the home care staff at St. Mary's Hospice who was able with the help of his family to care of Robert at his home.

Cremation will be private. A graveside service will be held on October 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the All-Saints Cemetery, 291 Durham Road, Newtown, PA 18940. A luncheon will follow the service.

Robert's departure leaves a void in our hearts his spirit will live through the many lives he touched.
