Robert Snyder Obituary
Born in Paterson, Robert had resided in Hawthorne all of his life. A former Hawthorne volunteer firefighter, Robert had worked as a machinist with Magnatrol Valve in Hawthorne.
Robert Snyder was the beloved husband of Jayne nee Gipitulan) Snyder of Hawthorne. Loving father of Rachel Alicea of Hawthorne, the late David Snyder (2022), Crystal Byrne and her husband John of CT, and Robert J. Snyder and his wife Amanda of Hawthorne. Dear grandfather of Jaydah Snyder, Nicolas Perez, Keilah Snyder, Aubree Pivarnick, Aiden Byrne, Lyndon Byrne, Peyton Snyder and Ronald Snyder. Son of Dorothy (nee Sandfort) Snyder of Hawthorne and the late Ralph Snyder. Brother of Russell Snyder and his wife Ella of Hawthorne, Patricia Huffman of Garfield, and Sharon Snyder of Saddle Brook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as the Gipitulan family.
Cremation will be private. Funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
