Robert "Bob" Sobieszczyk

Robert "Bob" Sobieszczyk, 89, died peacefully at his home on February 16, 2026. The Graveside Service, conducted by Brother Ron Hackney, is 4 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Born February 1, 1937 to Henry and Jean Wrona Sobieszczyk. He was a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Father-in-law, and so much more.

He was enlisted in the Army from August 1960 to July 1962. He was Honorably Discharged, earning the Marksman and Good Conduct awards. He then served in the Army Reserve from July 1962 to June 1966.

He married Betty Hall on April 27, 1963. Their daughter, Stacy, was born on January 24, 1969, and their son, Robert "Bobby" was born on June 16, 1970.

He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and a blessing to everyone.

Some of his favorite things to do were working outside, mowing the grass, listening to the rain with his dog, Carmella, in his lap, and cutting up with his grandsons.

Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jean Sobieszczyk and the love of his life, Betty, who he was married to for 61 years.

He is survived by his two children Stacy (Mike) Collinsworth and Bobby (Patricia) Sobieszczyk, grandsons Howard and Hanley Sobieszczyk, sister, Beverly Sparks, and last but not least, his Italian greyhound, Carmella, mini Aussiedoodle granddog, Cricket, and grandcat Genevieve.
