Sowers, Robert Lee, age 93, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loved ones on February 5, 2025.

Bob was born February 1, 1932 to the late Kenneth and Dora (Fowler) Sowers of Circleville, OH. 

Bob faithfully served the Lord throughout his adult Christian life. God called him to be a Gospel music leader. He traveled around Ohio in the quartet, "The Believers," was a Sunday school teacher, and a Boy Scout leader. For many years, Bob was a member of the West Broad Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the church board. Bob was blessed to sing in one of Billy Graham's choirs. Bob loved to sing - his voice was strong and powerful. When he sang of Jesus, it would touch the core of your soul. 

In high school Bob played parts in shows. He believed he was a good actor. Bob also received two letters in basketball. 

In the weeks of Bob's illness, he had two very special caregivers: his granddaughter, Tiffany Gahn and great-granddaughter, Kalynn Gahn. 

Bob is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Allen) Reese, of Grove City, OH; sons-in-law, John Gahn, of Grove City, OH, and Charles Gahn, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Tony (Casey) Bellisari, Lori (Rob) Gahn, Charlie (Wendy) Gahn, Steven (Walter) Sowers, Johnny Gahn, Jacob (Chelsey) Gahn, Rachel (James) Gahn, Tiffany Gahn, Michael Sowers, David Sowers, Bobby Sowers; 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Ardella (Thomas) Sowers; daughters, Deborah Gahn and Judith Gahn; sons, Michael Sowers and Larry Sowers; brothers, Issac, Marion, Kenneth, and Wilson; sisters, Emma Jo Ruff and Vera Jean Riffe; grandchildren, Joshua Sowers, Jason Gahn, Carrie Gahn, and Ryan Sowers; great-granddaughters, Isabelle Sowers and Kaylee Sowers; and great-grandson, Grayson Zachary Gahn. 

In honoring his life, a viewing will be held on February 11, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Following the viewing, a funeral service will commence at 12:30 PM, also taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather together in remembrance and celebration of Robert’s life.

The interment will follow the funeral service at Alton Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio. This will be a moment for loved ones to pay their final respects and reflect upon the enduring impact of Robert's life.
