Robert Eugene Starett Jr.

Robert Eugene Starett, Jr., age 72, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on September 17, 2023. He was born on December 27, 1950 in Follansbee, WV to Robert Eugene Starett, Sr. and Alice Vanderbush Starett. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Starett; his father, Robert Eugene Starett, Sr. and his brother, William F. Starett. Robert is survived by his soul mate and the love of his life, his wife of 23 years, Cindy Ford; his children, Whitney M. Starett, Robert E. Starett, III, Jamey S. Starett, Natasha J. Jost and her husband, Sean D Jost; his mother, Allice Wells; his grandchildren, Kiersten Eve Kale, Kieran B. Kale, Kierdan E. Kale, MacKenzie R. Jost, Madeleine D. Starett; his niece, Robin Marie Washburn; his great nieces, Allison M. Snow, Ada R. Starett; and many other family members and friends who knew and loved him. Robert attended school in Channelview and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. He went to work for British Petroleum retiring after working in Alaska for 25 years. He then was a contract manager until his health declined. He was a member of the Waskom Masonic Lodge, he loved to fish and he seriously loved wearing his overalls. He was devoted to his family and the time he spent with each of them. A celebration of his life will be held at River Crossing Cowboy Church on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00am with Bro.
