Robert Steele Obituary
Robert G. Steele passed away on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 at the age of 83. Robert is survived by his loving wife Kyong Ja Steele, his son Shawn (Jennifer) and his granddaughters Arianna and Emma Steele. He is also survived by sisters Rebecca Gould, Nancy Stinard, Pamela Guice, and Francine Cork, and his daughters, Mary Lou, Sherry, Bobbie & Cathy. Preceded in death by sister Janice Piosek, and brothers Dick, Randy, and Larry Steele. The son of George and Christine Steele, Bob was originally from Clarksburg, West Virginia, but relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a helicopter pilot for STAT MedEvac. He was a veteran who served in both the U.S. Navy and Army. While serving in the Vietnam war, he earned many medals for acts of heroism. Most notably, the Distinguished Flying Cross for voluntarily putting himself in harms way to save the lives of multiple wounded soldiers. He was a great father, husband, and brother who will be incredibly missed and loved forever. Grave side service will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 1030am at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies located at 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA. 15017
