The world became a little less bright on January 8th, 2026, with the passing of Robert “Bob” Stein. Bob was born on May 21, 1946, in Monroe, Michigan. Bob’s infectious laughter and unending humor brought joy to everyone around him.
Bob was a loving husband of 60 years to Joan, a devoted father to Kim (Bryan) Galbraith and Carrie (Dave) Morgridge, grandfather to Eric, Matt, and Wren, great grandfather to Brynlee, Andi, Charlotte, Ellie May and Henry, honorary grandfather to Nik Brendel and a loyal friend to many. Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle. Whether Bob was telling a joke, hosting friends, showing off his knowledge of cars or Native American history, Bob made every moment unforgettable.
As a skilled tradesman, Bob spent 43 years working for the auto industry. Also, Bob took immense pride in teaching health and safety for the Red Cross for 30 years. Loving to keep busy, Bob attempted to retire five times.
Bob’s legacy is one of integrity, humor, resilience, and love.
