Robert L. Sten

Robert L. Sten passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in his home in Westmoreland County. He was born July 30, 1942, in Washington, a son of late Julia "Judy" Ferguson and Norman Bell, and stepfather, John Sten. Robert worked and retired from the insurance industry after 30 years of service as an independent agent. Bob graduated from Washington High School, where he participated in student council; the wrestling, baseball and football teams; worked his paper route throughout the city, and loved going to school dances and being with friends. Bob also enjoyed outings and sports with his family, golfing, running, collecting coins, playing the lottery and a good round of Texas Hold 'Em. He was so happy to have shot the elusive "hole in one" in 2016! He was preceded in death by both parents; and brother, John Sten. He is survived by his caring wife, Sandra; son, Darcy; and daughters, Stacy and Jacqueline (Dean); and his adorable grandson, Luca, who made his grandad smile daily thinking about him.
