It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Lee Stenquist, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa. Bob passed away on October 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Bob's journey began on December 10, 1965, to Gary and Carol, a date that would mark the beginning of a life filled with love, service, and unwavering faith. On March 18, 1988, he married his sweetheart, Shellie Paskett, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bob served in many church callings throughout his life. He dedicated 2 years of missionary service to the people of New York, teaching them about the Savior. His faith was a guiding light, and he found solace and purpose in his service to others.

Bob's legacy lives on through his cherished family. He is survived by his loving wife, Shellie, and their children, Ashlee Vance (Chris), Jessica Watts (Ryker), Heidi Squire (Josh), Mason Stenquist (Maddie), and Marissa Stenquist.

For many years, Bob had the opportunity to grow flowers for various temples in the Utah Valley. He poured his soul into the beautiful landscape that surrounded the Mount Timpanogos Temple. It reflected his special affection for the natural world. He found immense joy in tending to plants, nurturing flowers, and standing in awe of the majesty of trees. The outdoors was his sanctuary, a place where he felt closest to his Heavenly Father.

Known for his ever-helpful nature, Bob never hesitated to lend a hand. He approached life with a spirit of optimism and a determination to make the world a better place. He was a man of few complaints, choosing instead to focus on the blessings that surrounded him.

Bob's fun-loving spirit was infectious, and he had a knack for bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. His stories often began with the phrase, "When I was a boy...", offering glimpses into a lifetime of cherished memories.

One of Bob's greatest joys was being a grandpa. He adored his six grandchildren, Henry, Oaklee, Thomas, Harvey, James and Ruby, and they held a special place in his heart. His love and influence will forever shape their lives.

The memory of Bob will be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. He has now found peace, reunited with his parents whom he adored. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Funeral services to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Alpine West Stake Center on November 3, 2023 at 10 am with a viewing starting at 8:45am. (327 S Long Drive Alpine, Utah). A viewing will be held at Anderson and Sons Mortuary November 2, 2023 from 6-8pm. (6141 West Timpanogos Highway Highland, Utah).
