Robert Tawan Stephney, lovingly known as "Rob," of Denver, Colorado, and formerly of Oakland, California, passed away tragically on September 20, 2025, at the age of 42, as the result of a vehicle accident.

Born on May 10, 1983, in Oakland, California, Robert was the son of the late Beverly Jamison and the late Curtis Stephney Sr. He grew up alongside his brother Curtis Stephney Jr and sister, Marlow Williams, with whom he shared a lifelong bond. Robert's proudest accomplishment in life was becoming a father to his cherished children, Skylar and Elijah Stephney.

Robert was known for his vibrant personality and his gift of lifting spirits-he was always the comedian in the room. His sense of humor, unwavering support, and heartfelt presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He had a passion for music, enjoyed working out, and found peace and reflection in nature's beauty.

Though his life was cut short, Robert's memory will carry on through his children, his sister, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his joy and laughter.

Robert will be memorialized in his hometown of Oakland, California. Service details will be announced soon.

**My Brother:**

The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two

One side was filled with memories. The other died with you.

I lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep

Ans take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek.

Remembering you it's easy. I'll do it every day

But missing you is a heartache that will never go away.

I hold you tightly within my heart and there you shall remain

Life has to gone on without you, but it will never be the same.
