Robert Louis Stevenson, Jr. passed away on April 30, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Barbara C. Stevenson and devoted father of David W. Stevenson and Daniel R. Stevenson and his wife Stefanie Mircovich. Loving grandfather of Reid Stevenson and Archer Stevenson. Brother of Elizabeth Stevenson.
Born and raised in Alabama, Robert, affectionately known by his coworkers, family, and friends as "Dr. Bob", grew up with his sister Elizabeth and his cousins. He graduated from Yale in 1967 and graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1971. He trained at University of Pennsylvania in anesthesiology. He enjoyed over 50 years in practice.
Bob enjoyed nature, serving on the Oregon Ridge Nature Council. In his time as a Boy Scout leader, he was proud to see both of his sons, David and Daniel, achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Bob also enjoyed traveling, especially with his family, but his favorite travel memories involved seeing all the MLB ballparks with David and visiting 57 National Parks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Healthcare for the Homeless.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Road Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Friday May 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 3rd at 10:00 A.M. at the Reisterstown United Methodist Church 246 Main Street, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Interment in Serenity Ridge Cemetery.
