Robert (Bob) Allen Stipek born August 26, 1934, started his new journey in life by joining his late wife Elaine (Shaurette) Stipek on October 5th, 2022. Left behind are his four children, Brenda (David) Roshell, Barbara Severson, Allen (Cindy) Stipek, and Diana Stipek. Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren : Kimberly Roshell (Joe Tsolakov), Kelsey Roshell (fiance Corey Sandberg), Mitchell Reineke and Kaylee Reineke; Carissa (Kevin) Anderson, Lily and Brextin Anderson; Kevin (Amy) Roshell, Andrew Hawkinson,
Jeremiah, Isaiah and Carter Roshell; Matthew Severson (Alesha Myren); Jordan Stipek and Maria Stipek.
Robert was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Elaine, being married December 27th, 1955. Elaine often stated that Bob was her knight in shining armor. His children would say the same.
Robert served in the Army and did a tour during the Korean Conflict, being stationed in Japan as an MP.
Bob was a pillar at St Anthony Catholic Church, Drywood, WI taking active roles on the Parish Council, Cemetery Committee, and maintenance rolls.
Bob was the main caregiver of his youngest daughter having many outings at one of their favorite dining establishments, McDonalds. He was an incredible father to his children and considered a brother by others.
He graduated from Cornell High School. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and an avid card player. He loved to walk, hunt and fish, cut wood, and generally never sit down.
Bob loved sports and encouraged his children to compete and perform at their highest level. He rarely missed any of their events which included volunteering for the Chippewa Valley Special Olympics events. He also co-managed a women's fast pitch softball team which was sponsored by Bob Josifek. "Bob's Babes" had a great team.
Having his Cheese License, Bob was a foreman in Jim Falls at the Falls Dairy. He also worked for the Town of Arthur maintaining roads. It was a common occurrence for him to come home after a full shift at the dairy and grab a quick sandwich. He would then head out into a snowstorm making sure residents of the township, especially those that may need to get to the hospital, were prioritized to have their roads cleared. He also prioritized making sure the school buses had a clear morning path following any snow event.
Our father will be missed. He taught us love, integrity, humor, and that hard work and determination could achieve nearly anything. He brought so much joy to our lives.
A special thanks to Promedica | Heartland Hospice Care.
Private Family Services will be held. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery Drywood, WI.
