Robert Earl Stoneburner, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. James Keeton officiating. Burial to follow in the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at 2:00 P.M.
Mr. Robert was born in Wildersville, TN on May 6, 1943, to the late James Richard Stoneburner and the late Laura Miller Stoneburner. He was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church and retired from the City of Jackson after 25+ years of dedicated service. Mr. Robert loved LIFE, dancing, music, and playing his guitar. He loved long drives, listening to his music, no particular place to go and all day to get there. His greatest enjoyment was crocheting and enjoying every day. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Joy Patterson Stoneburner; two sons: Bruce Davis and Scotty Davis; four brothers: Herman, James, Howard C., Paul Stoneburner; four sisters: Mary Elizabeth Holland, Rosie Mae Smyth, Sara Frances Marlin, Virginia Sue Stoneburner; the mother of his daughter: Brenda Fay Hart; the mother of his son: Martha Sue Rhodes.
He is survived by two sons: Carl Stoneburner of Blue Goose, TN, Eric Davis of Maryville, TN; two daughters: Gina Lynne Stoneburner Ellington of Bells, TN, Gina Davis of Bells, TN; one brother: Harley Tom Stoneburner (Bonnie) of Ridgely, TN; His special friend: Dorothy Phillips of Jackson, TN; He leaves a legacy of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
