Steve was born August 15, 1949 in Knoxville, TN the son of the late Lester Stooksbury and the late Myrle Mullins Stooksbury. He worked for 20 years in Ramp service for Eastern Airlines. After his time with Eastern Airlines, he owned and operated Stooksbury Lawn Mower Shop for 10 years. He later owned and operated Truck on the Move prior to retiring. Steve could be found playing a round of golf with friends or fishing with his grandsons on a beautiful day. He loved his family and the time he could spend with all of them. Steve was Baptist.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, who took care of him during his illness, Linda Millsapps Stooksbury of Villa Rica, son, Chad Stooksbury of Villa Rica, GA, daughter, Stesha Robinson of Heflin, AL, brothers, Ray Stooksbury of Hayesville, NC, and Benny Stooksbury of Woodstock, GA, grandchildren, Connor Robinson, Corbin Gibson, Braden Robinson and Gabriel Peeples.
The family will have a Memorial Service at Grace Baptist Church, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
In keeping with his wishes, Steve was cremated.
