I was looking at old photos & decided to check on some folks. I was saddened to see that Robert has passed away. I met Robert in 1977 when he was stationed at Ft. Dix. There were very few female soldiers so when our bus drove up near the Barracks, Robert was the first one in line to escort the ladies off the bus. I remember him referring to me as Miss. I quickly corrected him with a response of I am a soldier just like you & I would appreciate it if you would address me as a soldier. After about a week we became friends. Robert had a charming personality & a beautiful smile. We both got stationed in Germany but in different cities. Robert came to visit me & asked do you still have a crush on that guy from C- Company. I told him yes & he certainly gave me his opinion on that decision. My deepest condolences to Robert's wife, family, & friends.
God Bless,You
