Robert D. Stultz

Robert D. Stultz, age 92, of Chillicothe, Ohio, entered into Heaven on October 13, 2022 while under the care of National Church Residences.
He was born November 5, 1929, in Richmondale, Ohio to the late Chester and Ruth (O'Dell) Stultz. On November 19, 1949, he married the love of his life, Ruth M. Cutright and at her passing in 2015 they were married 65 years.
Bob is survived by his son, Dale (Diane) Stultz, of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Jan (Jim) Fire, of Canton, Ohio and Cheri (John) Richter, of Huntington, Indiana. He was blessed with three grandchildren, John (Katie) Richter, Todd Richter and Siera (Matt) Schwartz; and six great grandchildren, Clara, Maisa and Abby Richter, Gracelynn, Elliana and Titus Schwartz, whom he loved dearly.
Bob was a 1947 graduate of Southeastern High School and attended Chillicothe branch of Ohio University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1948 and upon his return worked for Albers as a meat cutter. Bob dreamed of being an entrepreneur and owning his own business. His first purchase was on Main Street Chillicothe, The Stultz Grocery, followed by the Piatt Avenue Grocery, the Red and White Market, Party Ice and eventually Springdale Garden Center, where he and Ruth sold flowers in the spring time and Christmas trees. Bob and Ruth were blessed at their retirement to have Tom and Carolyn take over the business, keeping their legacy alive.
Bob was a long-time member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church. After he could no longer attend in person he enjoyed listening to the service on his transistor radio every Sunday. We would like to thank the people who stayed in touch with Bob by visiting and sending cards.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with his grandson, Pastor John Allen Richter and Pastor Therese Lehman officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday.
