Robert Susemichel Obituary
Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and skilled woodworker, and he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and tending to his yard. Above all, he cherished attending the activities and milestones of his children and grandchildren, always showing unwavering support.
Robert was a longtime parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3660.
He retired after a 37-year career with Indianapolis Power and Light, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Robert is survived by his wife, Toni Susemichel; sons, Robert "Bob" (Alice) Susemichel and Paul Susemichel; daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Eric) Martin; grandchildren, Benjamin "Ben", Matthew "Matt", Nicholas "Nick", and Alex "AJ"; and great granddaughter, Avila.
He was preceded in death by wife, Theresa M. Susemichel; brother, Ronald "Ron", as well as several close relatives that considered Bob like a father.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with rosary at 7:30 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 10:00 am at St Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd, Indianapolis, IN.
Bob will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Johnson County Senior Services, 36 West 600 North, Whiteland, IN 46184.
