On December 16th, 2023 Robert Glenn Taylor, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He lived a long life with devotion for God and family.
Robert was born in Charleston, MO, on September 29, 1937. He was a SCPO Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and served active duty for 22 years. He then worked as an NJROTC Instructor at Canutillo High School for 22 years. Robert traveled the world and enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures. His favorite past time was playing golf with friends and sharing laughs with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Hilda Taylor and children, Robert, Raymond (Lupe), Rowena (Jimmy), Christina (Carl), Jennifer and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Robert loved his family dearly and leaves a legacy of humility, humor, a deep caring for others, and a strong belief in Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
