Robert Damask Obituary

Robert Theodore Damask, better known as R. Ted, Mr. Ted, "Teddy" and Uncle Bear passed away on March 27, 2025. He was nearly 87. Born on July 23, 1938 to Theodore and Isabella Damask, he was the oldest of 3 boys. The family moved to Palo Alto, CA in 1948 from Omaha, NE. He lived a good life beginning with early achievements to an Eagle Scout, playing Trombone and various Horns in the Palo Alto High School Band. He studied Engineering at Swarthmore and Cal Poly Colleges working as a salesman in small business marine industries. His passion for sailing vessels, real estate, financial markets, the arts, growing and planting flowers, brought him a variety of wonderful friends, deeply insightful conversations and playful banter over his life time. He was a wordsmith, making unusual word associations to the delight of those around him, keeping peoples' interest wherever he went. In his adult life he lived in Santa Clara, Napa, Sonoma and Solano Counties. He is survived by two brothers, 4 sister's in law, and a handful of nieces and nephews in both blood and kin family fashion; he was loved. A devoted man to the principles of his early Methodist upbringing, we know he is in a better place. Service at SkyLawn Memorial, Half Moon Bay, Friday April 25th, 2025. Robert Theodore Damask
