Robert Edward Thompson
March 26, 1935 – February 7, 2026
Robert Edward Thompson entered eternal rest on February 7, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, he was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather whose steady presence and quiet strength shaped his family for generations. Robert enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a horse trainer, with numerous horses he trained competing across the United States—an accomplishment that brought him great pride. Robert will be honored in Detroit before being laid to rest at Sunset Gardens of Memory in Millstadt, Illinois.
