Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Evelyn Thornton, and is survived by his wife, Christine Thornton, son, Robert Daniel Thornton (Debbie); stepchildren, Jenny Sherwood (Mike) and Michael Moss (Jennifer); grandchildren, Sam Thornton, Olivia Thornton, Marley Sherwood, Owen Sherwood, and Blake Tidwell; and one great-grandchild, Waylon Thornton.
