Robert "Bob" Lee Timmons, 68, of Tontitown, AR passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, AR. He was born July 26, 1941 in Tontitown, AR, the only child of Henry and Nina (Pearson) Timmons. He pursued his lifelong love of farming. He served in the US Army Reserves and was owner/operator of Timmons Farms & Nursery. He specialized in growing Table grapes, Blueberries, Blackberries and various vegetables. He also enjoyed sharing his knowledge of farming with others. He was a vendor at the Fayetteville Farmers Market for 13 years and served on the board of directors at one time. His favorite hobbies include tickling Jacob, snuggling Noah, talking to "sweet" Faith, playing with Isaiah and making peanut butter and jellies for Levi. He enjoyed hunting and the out of doors, along with "lofin" at Tontitown Z-Mart with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Rebecca Timmons of the home; their two daughters, Erin Timmons-Mitchell and husband Justin of Fayetteville, AR and Allison Inbody and husband David of Tontitown, AR; their son, Trey Timmons of the home; his daughter, Barbara Taylor and husband Robert and three children of Rogers, AR; one step-son, Matthew Bowman of Springdale, AR; and Robert's eight grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Friday, January 15, 2010 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, AR. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the funeral home chapel.
