Robert TODD

TODD, Robert Levin, died after a short illness on Saturday, December 25, 2010, three days after the passing of his wife of almost 70 years, Thelma. Levin was born December 8, 1916 in Highland Park to Willie Roy and Laura Walton Todd and lived his entire life in Richmond. He graduated from John Marshall High School and soon after began a 46-year career at Philip Morris Company, retiring in 1982. Mr. Todd served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and was deployed to both the war in Europe and the Pacific. Levin was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, his wife; and a daughter, Katherine Todd Wilke. He is survived by his son, Robert W. Todd of Williamsburg; and five grandchildren, Laura Todd Hotchkiss, Daniel and Michael Todd, Mary and Caroline Wilke. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 3, at Ginter Park United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond SPCA or Ginter Park United Methodist Church.
