Robert Turoff Obituary
Bob was born in Queens, NY on May 28th, 1940. Bob and his wife Betty were married In Keeseville, NY on October 11, 1975.
Owner of Brite-One Lighting Group, Bob's company provided specialty commercial & industrial lighting products to his clients for 42 years prior to his retirement.
A U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam era serving in the Cuba blockage, Bob was honored by the NY North Country Honor Flight to Washington, DC along with other veterans. With his military background, Bob had many years of membership in the Beekmantown VFW Post 1466 where he served in many capacities including that of past Post Commander.
Very active in local community activities, Bob was also very active in the Plattsburgh Kiwanis Club. He served as President and spent nearly 30 years with Kiwanis. He also started and served the Plattsburgh Kiwanis Breakfast Club for years.
There will be no visitation or services.
Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home (formerly Heald Funeral Home) Plattsburgh, NY.

During the ice storm of 1998 Bob checked on us and opened his heated garage to our family and in-laws for several days until we could get generators. We will be forever grateful for his and Betty´s kindness. He was a great neighbor and will be missed.
