It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Lee Upson ll (aka partner), a man of boundless enthusiasm and love, passed away on Saturday October 18th at the age of 29. Born in Muskegon Michigan on January 28th,1996 to Robert and Kimberly (Jenkins) Upson. He graduated from Reeth's-Puffer High School. Robert's life was defined by his passions and devotion to his family. He found immense joy in sports, video games, fishing, and camping with the kids. creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Robert loved all sports with his favorite team being Detroit Lions. The love of sports didn't stop there he took every opportunity to watch his son Eian play football and his niece Jazmine do cheer, softball and bowling. While Robert was camping, he spent his time teaching Layla and Nova how to fish. He bragged about how good Eian was at hunting when he filled both of his deer tags. Robert was always playing with nerf guns with his partner Langston. When Partner didn't have him doing that, he was having him build his Lego sets for him. Robert always tried his best to keep his moms beautiful smile on her face and playing with all the kids did just that.
Robert was known for his caring and loving nature, sense of humor and brightening the lives of those around him. He was a resilient strong individual, facing life's many challenges with unwavering determination. Weather he was playing tennis, throwing a football or simply listening to music. Roberts zest for life was infectious. Most recently Robert found a job he loved. Working at Soaring Eagles Casino being a sports bookie, where he brought his passion for sports and gaming into his career.
Robert will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him, from his friends to his family. He is survived by Wife Coty Hill, Mother Kimberly and Edward Jenkins, Father Robert Upson and Sharon Huffman, Children Layla Upson, Novaleah Hill and Eian Sullivan, Siblings Jesse Greeno, Brian Huffman, Casey Upson, Hayley Upson and Angel Upson, Nieces and Nephews Jazmine Upson, Ryker Huffman, Langston Rowan, Silas Huffman and Xander Upson, Grandparents Christina LaMay, Robert Jenkins and Paul Greeno (Cindy).
He is proceeded in death by Grandparents Sue Jenkins, Sharon Upson and Gerry Huffman Sr., Uncle Gerry Huffman Jr. and most recently one of the best brothers he could ever ask for Austin Upson.
Robert, you will forever live in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, at the VFW.
