Robert E. Vaillancourt

Robert E. Vaillancourt the beloved husband of the late Mary Vera (Lawler) Vaillancourt and the late Rita (Masse) Vaillancourt died unexpectedly on Monday June 6, 2011 at his Pawtucketville residence. He was 92. Robert was born in Lowell on September 16, 1918, a son of the late Arthur and Mildred (Vickery) Vaillancourt. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army. Prior to his retirement Robert was employed as a card setter for Redmond Card Clothing Company in Andover. He was an avid football fan and was looking forward to the upcoming fall season. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Robert C. and Suzanne Vaillancourt of Lowell; a daughter and son in law Sandra C. and Christopher Peatfield of Athens, AL; stepchildren, Barbara Hague of Lowell, Mary Bourque and her husband Paul of Dracut, Karen Lausier of Franklin, NH, Linda Lord and her husband Thomas of St. Johnsbury, VT; a brother and sister in law John and Nyola Vaillancourt of Groton; a sister Eleanor Bernier of CT; two sisters in law, Carol Vaillancourt of Dunstable, Barbara Vaillancourt of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Keith Vaillancourt, Kendra, Christopher, Kara, Kimberly Peatfield; three great grandchildren, Hanna, Grace and Cameron Vaillancourt; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Ross and Kurt Vaillancourt. Step father of the late Jack, James, Ron Dinsmore and Rawlene Lizotte. Brother of the late Donald, Clifford, Roland, Gerald Vaillancourt, and Shirley Rocks.
