Robert Vincent Viaille, Jr., 84, passed away from this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas. He was born on February 10, 1941, in Brownwood, Texas to Vincent and Delma Viaille. Robert was proceeded in death by his parents. He lived a life marked by service, hard work, dedication and devotion to family. Robert made lifelong friends everywhere his career took him.

Robert and his family returned to Levelland, Texas where he started school and later graduated from Levelland High School in 1959. He attended South Plains College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in 1961. Robert attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas for one year before marrying and starting a family.

Later, Robert moved to Wichita, Kansas for work and completed his

college education at Friends University.

In 1961, Robert married the love of his life Martha "Martie" Thomas. They had a son, Robert Vincent Viaille III in 1962. Robert is survived by his wife, his son Vince (Cheryl) of Weatherford, Texas, his grandchildren Hayden, Chandler (Michael), France (Victoria), Jackson, and great grandchild Isla. He is also survived by his brother Larry (Nancy) of Lubbock.

Robert began his career in the oil fields of West Texas, where he was first employed By Amoco Oil Company. During his career, he worked in Levelland, Odessa and Amarillo, Texas. After Amarillo, he accepted a position with Koch Industries of Wichita, Kansas. While with Koch, Robert oversaw the building of gas plants and oil field infrastructure in North Dakota. After North Dakota, Robert

spent time in Wichita, eventually moving to Houston, College Station and Monahans, Texas, where he retired from Sid Richardson Oil Company.

Robert loved to travel, play golf, cheer for the Red Raiders of Texas Tech, and spend time with family and friends. He was a very kind and generous man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
