Robert Wakefield

Mr. Robert Lee Wakefield, age 86, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

He was born in Hartwell on April 29, 1938 to the late Lindsey Adams and Rosa Lee Saddler. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. Robert loved spending time with family, enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was an avid Braves and Falcons fan. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Left to cherish his memories are; his children, Sue (Curtis) Hill of Hartwell, Robin Wakefield of Arizona, Regina Wakefield of Bridgeport, CT and Rosa Rudd also of Bridgeport, CT. Nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lucille Walker, Fredia Alexander, Gloria Alexander, Herman Alexander, Jr., Charles Alexander and Sally Brown.

A funeral service celebrating Robert Lee Wakefield will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at One o'clock from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Hartwell Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. 

Family members will be at the home of Sue and Curtis Hill, 2187 Liberty Hill Road in Hartwell.
