Robert Michael Wakeford

Robert "Bob" Michael Wakeford, 73, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, was taken to be with His Lord peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on October 22, 1952, to Robert and Barbara (LaRowe)Wakeford.
Bob had a deep love of aviation and always looked forward to the Oshkosh Air show and anything Warbirds. He was also a student of the weather and enjoyed studying weather patterns, he found great wonder in both clear skies and approaching storms.
Bob had a strong but quiet faith in the Lord, known for his loyalty and deep devotion to family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan with a special affection for the Chicago Bears, and sharing those moments with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Susan (Meehan) Wakeford; children, William (Heather) and Leslie Wakeford; grandchildren, Tyler and Travis; brothers, David (Susan) and James (Patricia) Wakeford; brothers-in-law, William Meehan, David (Lisa) Meehan, and sister-in-law, Kathleen (James) Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend Thomas (Maureen) Rowan. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, father and mother-in-law, and sister-in-law.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson Street, Algonquin, Illinois. In lieu of flowers or gifts please make donations may be made in Robert's memory to St John's Lutheran Church.
