Robert Henry Walker

Robert Henry Walker was born to Earl Joe and Eula Mae Parrish Walker on January 21, 1953, at the Haynie Hospital in Durant Oklahoma. He passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 72, in Dallas, Texas. Robert lived a life marked by dedication to his work, love for the outdoors, and deep connections with family and friends.
Robert graduated from Blue High School in 1971. Even before completing his education, he demonstrated a strong work ethic by working at a local dairy before and after school. After graduation, he married his high school sweetheart Jolene Boatman and began his career with Lone Star Gas-a position that would shape much of his professional life. This opportunity brought him and his family to Dallas, Texas. After 10 years of marriage Robert and Jolene parted ways. In 1984, Robert met Helen Ruth Patton and her son Michael. Robert and Helen dated for many years before finally tying the knot on November 6, 2003. Robert and Helen remained married until her passing in March 2017. Over the years, Lone Star Gas evolved into Atmos Energy, where Robert remained a loyal employee until his retirement. Beyond his career, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. One of his favorite destinations was Eastland, Texas, where he spent countless hours enjoying nature alongside his best friend "Captain" Ron Langlitz.
Robert's life was deeply intertwined with those he loved. He is survived by his first wife and mother of his two daughters, Jolene Stacy; daughters Mellisa (Walker) Day and her husband Johnny Day; daughter Dana Walker; and son Michael Patton and his wife Lisa. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Christine Day, Cadi Day, Dayzie Canida, Dalilah Canida, Dakota Patton, and Laramie Patton.
He also leaves behind his brother Edward Walker and wife Susan; nieces Ellissa Walker Slape and husband Doug with their children Josh and Chisty; Stacy Walker Genovese and husband Rich with their children Jessica and Julia; as well as nephew Clint Walker and wife Louanna and daughter Trinity Bertschi, her husband Austin and daughter Raylee.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Earl Joe Walker (1988) and Eula Mae Parrish Walker (1999); his beloved wife Helen Patton Walker (2017); and grandson Dalton Cole Canida (2000).
A man of quiet strength and enduring loyalty, Robert will be remembered for the steadfast presence he offered to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral will be held on October 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel 4900 W Hwy 70 Durant, OK. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
Interment at Bokchito Cemetery to follow services.
