Robert Bruce Wallace

Robert B. Wallace (Bob), retired, age 81, of Wenham, MA, passed away on July 4, 2025 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington, MA. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert Sr. and Eleanor (McCarron) Wallace. Bob was born in Salem and raised in Beverly. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and Williams College and completed a year of graduate school at Boston University.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of 59 years ("childhood sweethearts" since grade 8). He also leaves his sons, Robert (Amy) of Hamilton, Daniel (Bliss) of Wenham and Matthew (Jasmine) of Danvers. He was the proud grandfather of three grandsons, Tyler, Logan and Spencer, as well as two granddaughters, Ella and Journey. He leaves a sister, Jane Simpson, niece "Libby" Herman (Ben) aka, Dr. Olivia Simpson and nephew Nicholas Simpson, all of Brunswick, Maine.
Bob was a caring brother-in-law to Sandra Ahman of Wenham and Janet Connors of Stoneham, MA.
Bob worked for his uncle, Robert Dawson and was instrumental in building the family-owned business, Dawson's True Value Hardware. He retired as General Manager and President of the Corporation.
In his personal life, Bob loved traveling with Jean & family, golf, reading, sports (Yankees, Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots), working in his yard, being with friends, West Beach (or any beach with waves!), cooking Sunday morning breakfast, and most of all, he loved being with his family - immediate and extended.
The Wallace family wish to express gratitude to the medical staff of Beverly Hospital Emergency Room, Lahey, Burlington Emergency Room, Lahey 6E and the Lahey SICU, for their excellent care and outstanding support for our family.
A Celebration of Life for Robert will be at the Beverly Golf and Tennis, 134 McKay St., Beverly on Sunday, July 27th from 11am-2pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
