Robert James Walsh

Robert James Walsh, age 49, of Dushore, PA, passed away early Monday morning, April 28, 2025, at his home after a short and valiant fight against cancer.

Robert was born on December 31, 1975, in Sayre, PA, at the Robert Packer Hospital a son of James Bernard Walsh and Ann Louise Sones Walsh. He graduated from Sullivan County High School a member of the class of 1995. In the summer of 2013, he started dating the former Maxine Marie Denmon, and they were later married on July 31, 2021, at the Rock Island Lighthouse.

As a high schooler Robert worked mowing grass for St. Basil’s Cemetery and then went to work at Masonite. He later worked at Cargill before going to work at Procter & Gamble as an electrician where he has been employed for over 20 years. He was currently the Shift Captain for Emergency Services at P&G and for several years served in fire protection at the plant.

He was a 34 year active and dedicated member of the Dushore Fire Company. He was currently serving as Captain and was an EMT and a state certified fire instructor.

Robert enjoyed camping, hunting, and collecting firetrucks. However his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA, with Monsignor Robert Wargo, presiding.

Friends and family may call on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at 2:00 PM in the Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, PA.
