There's a picture on my desk near the computer, Robert, showing us "down the ocean" at the American Legion convention. We're in our uniforms after the parade at Mel & Marty Stumm's trailer. You, Robert, hold the American Flag (as always), and I've got the Legion Flag, with Mel Stumm and Bill Cogburn grabbing their rifles. Sheila, Bess and Marty, and you, Bettie, were always there with us. It was the best of times, and we'll see "himself" again, soon. Our LOVE, John and Sheila Carpenter

Laurie Gray Wilhelm

Bob and his family have been close to me and my family since I was a child. I started my first job with the state in the "Map Division" and luckily married "Mike Wilhelm" an assessor in "Assessments and Taxation". Many memories of Bob and his family.

When the Parkville American Legion needed a cashier for its Hot Dog stand at the Carnivals, Bob was there.
When the Parkville American Legion wanted a cook to prepare meals during their fund raisers, Bob was there.
When Parkville American Legion Honor Guard needed a member, Bob was there.
When Parkville American Legion needed an Officer for its Executive Committee, Bob was there.
When Parkville American Legion honored its deceased members at funeral homes, Bob was a Visitation Committee member.
And when Bob passed to Post Everlasting, all Parkville American Legion members recognized his lifetime of excellence.
Our LOVE, John & Sheila Carpenter
