TIPP CITY -- Warner, Robert D. "Bob" age 98 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2023 after a long and fulfilling life. Bob was born in Bradford, Ohio on November 07, 1924 to the late Frank and Edna {West} Warner. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Helen Rhoades, Herman Warner, Caris Warner, Glenna Gilbert, and Gerald "Hank" Warner, and grandson John Boyd. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Donna {Wilt} Warner, son Mark (Faye) Warner of Tipp City, Ohio, grandchildren; Brandie (Laramey) Ford, Thomas Warner, and Mark Warner II, great grandchildren; Branden Blackburn, Zoie Bertagnolli, Dasia Ford, and Olivia Ford.
Bob proudly served his country for the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed as a guard patrolman at the Dauchau Concentration Camp in Southern Germany. After the war, Bob worked for 20 years at NCR in Dayton, Ohio and another 20 years at Corning Glass in Greenville, Ohio, where he eventually retired. Bob was a member of the Tipp City American Legion Post #586 and the Masonic Lodge of Gettysburg, Ohio. He enjoyed wood working and building clocks. He was particularly proud of his hand crafted Grandfather clock. Bob was a very active man, even in his later years, continuing any and all chores well into his 90's. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at SpringMeade Health Center and Vitas Hospice for their care, comfort, and compassion.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
