Robert S. "Bob" Weamer

Robert S. "Bob" Weamer, passed away on March 28, 2025, in Noblesville, Indiana, at the age of 93. He was born October 7, 1931, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert S. and Catherine M. (McCabe) Weamer.
Bob proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force before embarking on a successful career in the trucking industry. He dedicated 30 years to this field, working as a dispatcher and traffic manager, retiring from Foamex in 1996 in LaPorte, IN.
Bob was an active member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in South Bend, IN for 57 years. He also took great pride in his role as a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1878.
Bob was married for 68 years to Ann (Schoch) Weamer. Bob is survived by his wife Ann, Jennifer Vrooman (Stan) of Westfield, IN, Amy Dragovich (John) of St. Augustine, FL, and sons Kurt R. Weamer (Vonna) of Arden Hills, MN, and Michael R. Weamer of South Bend, IN. He was very proud of his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He cherished his sisters, Sherid Weamer of Altoona, PA, and Ellen Jane Raub of Bethany Beach, DE. Bob will also be missed by the gang on Hass Dr.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 4:30 to 7:00pm at Palmer Funeral Home ~ Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 8, at 11:00 am, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend. A short visitation will be held at the back of the church one hour before the mass. A military service will be scheduled for a later date at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN.
