Robert Wheeler Obituary
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Monday, February 9, 2026, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Don Thompson officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery prior to the service.
Mr. Wheeler was born October 17, 1973, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Henry Alton & Milam Gertrude Wilson Wheeler. He graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1993 and attended Ben Hill Irwin Tech for Auto Mechanics. He worked locally for a few years before obtaining his CDL license. He was a long-haul truck driver for many years, with his last eight years for Holland Enterprises, based out of Fargo, North Dakota.
He is survived by his sister, Neida Owens & Jim of Fitzgerald; nephews: Ben Owens of Lake Forest, California, Seth Owens of Fitzgerald and Zach Owens of Winder and a great-niece, Ellie Rose Owens. Several cousins also survive.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
