Robert Anthony Wildeman

Robert Anthony Wildeman, 81, passed away on April 1, 2025 at his home in Ness City, Kansas. He was born on April 15, 1943 in Park, Kansas the son of Anthony and Dorothy (Haffner) Wildeman. He married the love of his life, JoAnne Humburg, on November 5, 1966 in WaKeeney. Bob was a devoted family man and a loyal friend. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, spending many seasons in the Colorado mountains with his son, Shane, and hunting "family". He was a Meat Market Manager for King Soopers in Colorado Springs for many years. He was a member of the UFCW Local 7 Union, Retiring in 2000. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, JoAnne Wildeman, of Ness City; daughter, Michele Hanson (Wade) of Ransom; son, Shane Wildeman (Jessica) of Divide, CO; brother, Dick Wildeman (Shelley) of Ness City; sister, Kathy Wendler of Ness City; grandchildren, Berlin Elgin (Ethan), Taggart Hanson (Jewel) and Gunnar Hanson; and great-grandchildren, Eliza, Aileen, Naomi, and Uriah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Dorothy Wildeman; brother, Gary Wildeman; and brother-in-law, Mel Wendler. Viewing will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Park, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Words of sympathy and support may be left for the family by signing the guestbook.
